Is there any way I can clean out the actual switches on this keyboard without destroying it? I assume if all the instructions mentioned removing the switches, then I can't just use contact cleaner on the keyboard itself without utterly destroying it.AN UNPARALLELED CLEAN: Introducing a more efficient way to clean your floors! Vacuum debris, mop dirt, and wash your floor all in one go with BotsLab's OneClean T6 Vacuum Cleaner. Unfortunately, the switches in this keyboard (or so I'm told) are soldered on, and I do not have the skills nor really the time to unsolder them one by one, clean them, and re-solider them. Of the few guides I saw that mentioned cleaning the actual switches, they wanted me to remove them and douse them with contact cleaner. I read several guides, but most are on how to clean the keycaps and under them, not the mechanical switched themselves. Sometimes I wind up not pressing the key at all because I don't press it hard enough due to muscle memory on how much force the keyboard needs. Very noticeable since this is a red switch. They don't stick, but they do require extra force, and feel a little mushy when pressing them down. However, while it is fully functional now, some of the keys are harder to press than others. I spilled soda on my keyboard, instantly unplugged it and attempted to clean it as best I could. I have a Cooler Master Storm Trigger keyboard, with Cherry MX Red switches.
